Allocation of Places in Supported Accommodation - Policy and Procedures This policy will replace the Placement of Clients in Group Homes policy from 1 August 2009. The policy will provide a consistent framework for managing requests and vacancies in DADHC operated and funded accommodation support services, simplifying administration for non-government providers. The migration of data to the accommodation register is scheduled for completion by the end of January 2010. DADHC will continue to manage all current applications with no action required from existing clients.	Jul 2009	pdf

Maintaining Respite Policy DADHC has reviewed and taken into consideration the many submissions made in relation to the two draft policy during the six week consultation process. The Minister requested that the draft policy be re-drafted to take account of this initial feedback. The policy reflects the concerns and suggestions made by many people including carers, advocates and service providers. It reflects how we can work together to support familiers who have made the dificult decision that they can no longer support their family member at home. The Department acknowledges that any family who has had to make such a decision has not done so lightly. A Round Table was held on 31 October 2008 to give us feedback on the revised draft policy.
