The Department has a number of points throughout New South Wales that people with a disability and their carers can contact to discuss support options. These should be the first point of contact for any enquiries.
Regional contact numbers for information and assistance
All requests for support are prioritised according to the person’s support needs and the availability of appropriate services.
Where a person has an immediate need and all other options for support, including support through DADHC services, have been exhausted, interim funding may be available for support services through the Service Access System. As with other requests for support, these requests should be made through the Regional contact numbers for information and assistance.
Decisions about interim assistance are made with reference to the Decision rules for requests for support. Decisions relating to children and young people must also comply with Supporting children and young people with a disability: Additional guidelines for funded assistance.
